The late, great Ernie Ladd was one of the greatest footballers turned wrestler in history. One of the most highly publicized black athletes of his era, Ladd played professional football for the San Diego Chargers, Houston Oilers & Kansas City Chiefs. Ladd turned to professional wrestling in the 1960's in the football off-season. Making more money grappling, he joined full-time and travelled to many different territories. Follow the career of "The Big Cat" in the Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, IWA, NWF, Tri-State, Mid-South, Mid-Atlantic, Florida, Georgia, New York, and elsewhere.
